Travel & Stay

We recommend making Barcelona your home base. Our welcome dinner and farewell gathering will be in the city, with transportation to Blanes provided on the wedding day.

Arriving by air

Getting to Barcelona

Fly into Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN), Barcelona's main airport. Choose the transfer that best suits your hotel and luggage; both terminals have public transport and official taxi ranks.

Direct to your hotel · T1 & T2

Taxi

The simplest option with luggage. Follow the taxi signs to the official rank outside arrivals and take a black-and-yellow Barcelona taxi. At T1, the rank is on the ground floor. Have your hotel's full address ready.

Aerobús

A straightforward option if you're staying near Plaça Catalunya or Plaça Espanya. Take A1 from T1 or A2 from T2. Both run 24 hours a day to Plaça Catalunya; allow around 35 minutes on the bus, depending on traffic, plus your onward journey to the hotel.

For the return trip, check your flight's terminal before choosing A1 or A2.

City rail connections · T2

R2 Nord train

The current R2 Nord service connects Terminal 2 with Barcelona-Sants and Passeig de Gràcia. Follow the train / Renfe signs to the airport station. If you land at T1, take the airport's free shuttle to T2 first and allow extra time for the transfer.

Metro L9 Sud

Take L9 Sud from either terminal and change lines for central Barcelona: Torrassa for L1, Collblanc for L5, or Zona Universitària for L3. Check which connection suits your hotel.

You need an airport-valid ticket or pass. The ordinary single metro ticket and T-casual do not cover the airport metro stations.
